The Design Process

Here is the usual process that every project goes through, from the time you send your inquiry form to the time I submit the final product (logo, artwork, website theme, invitation design, etc.)

Quote Acceptance (or Not)

• After receiving the quote, please acknowledge receipt or non-receipt
• Read the Terms and Conditions carefully.
• If you don't understand the quote please ask.
• If you want to proceed, let me know by email.
• If you don't wish to proceed or would like to delay the project more than 30 days let me know.

50% Deposit Payment

• Once I have your written quote acceptance I will send your invoice.
• You can pay your deposit online, by Pay Pal or through Direct Bank Transfer.
• Deposits are strictly non-refundable after work has commenced.
• Terms are 50% to commence, 50% and any additional extras through scope changes on completion.

Design Questionnaire

• Provide all your information via the Design Questionnaire that I will send you.
• Please be very specific, I do not have psychic abilities. =) 
• All information is confidential, from the start.  

Concept Presentation

• I will work on your project and submit 2 design concepts.
• Concepts are designed to illustrate a direction. They are not finished files. This is especially important to bear in mind with logo projects.
• With a logo project, I will submit loose concepts in the beginning to determine direction and fine tune in consultation with you to reflect your business accurately.
  
• Your concept is supplied as a jpeg/s (web) or PDF (print)
• Colours are not the same on the web and on print.  

Revision to Concepts

• Depending on the parameters of the brief the process goes back and forth in consultation with the client until a desired outcome is reached.
• Please be very clear with feedback.   
• I will not accept feedback via telephone or any verbal means.
• All changes must be submitted in writing.

Project Approval and Completion

• Please give me formal approval in writing that the design is final.  
• I then prepare the files for delivery/launch. (If you're ordering a theme, please make sure your site is already up and running by this time.)
• I will send you the final account which must be paid in full to transfer copyright and usage.
• I will not send files until this is paid.
• Once the payment is made I will then transfer the files and ownership of the project to you.
